Day Eighty

Happy 4th of July!

It was another beautiful day in Ventura!  Dave, Walker and I went bike riding along the boardwalk in Ventura.  The boardwalk was lined with large American Flags for the 4th of July holiday.  It was awesome!

We rode about 6-8 miles total heading down towards Emma Woods State Beach, then back onto Main Street where we ran into the tail end of the Ventura Street Fair.  Way too crowded for us!  We got off of Main Street as soon as we could, then headed down Santa Clara towards Ash in the hopes that Corrales (mexican food) was open.  Thank goodness it was because we were starving!

After lunch, we hitched the bikes back onto the Jeep parked under the 101 freeway at San Jon Road, then walked across the street to the beach.  Walker needed some play time after being towed around on the bike for 2-1/2 hours.  He was a trooper!  By the time we left the beach, he was soaking wet and ready for a nap.  It was a great way to end the 3-day holiday with Dave and Walker.  I love my family!
