This morning, Dave, Walker and I went for a walk. Well, at least I thought it was going to be a “walk”. Walker ended up taking off in a run down the sidewalk while Dave and I jogged to keep up with him. I guess he had a lot of energy to get out because he ran down the street, over a block, around the park, and halfway down Woolley Street before he asked to get into the stroller. He was only in there for a short time while we jogged up Victoria back towards the house. As soon as we hit our street, Walker got out of the stroller and began running with Dave back to the house. All total, Dave figures Walker ran about a mile! And, he didn’t take a nap until almost 1:00 p.m.!
We ran errands this afternoon (Target and Michael’s) where I picked up frames for my Ventura County Fair entries. I spent a couple of hours putting the pictures together in the frames and hanging them while Walker was sleeping. I also put together a shadow box for Walker which included his heart/yarn craft and his First Place ribbon. IOf course, I included in his box the photograph I took of him holding both his craft and his ribbon.
In the afternoon, I had remembered it was Lyla’s 3rd Birthday (Walker’s girlfriend from Florida). So, we took this picture and e-mailed it to her Mom since I forgot to send a card. I hope she likes her e-card from Walker, including the Plumeria he picked for her!
