Day One Hundred Fifty Eight

It was the first morning I actually had to take my sweater out of the closet to wear to work today.  It looks like there are more days like this to come.  This socked-in weather is getting old.  It’s September!  It’s not supposed to be like this!  The sun pretty much never came out in Ventura today either.  It makes for a really long day at work.

Walker and I just hung out at the house today after work.  He played outside for a while before coming in and playing with his floor puzzles.  He is really into floor puzzles right now and does them constantly.  Lori has a couple at daycare as well.  It’s the first thing Walker grabs when he gets to Lori’s house.  We just picked up a second floor puzzle of Thomas the Trian, but it looks like we’re going to need to invest in more!

After dinner, Walker watched TV since it was so chilly outside.  After a diaper change, Walker asked if he could wear his big boy underwear tonight.  Of course I said “yes!”.  He had his big boy chonies on from shortly before 6:00 p.m. until just after 8:00 p.m. with no accidents!  We went to the potty once (actually, I forced him to go) and he actually went potty.  Walker received another sticker and a completed “Tuesday” line on his potty chart earning his first “prize” from his treasure chest  (okay, so it’s a plastic Folgers coffee container with stuff in it, but it was all I could find at the time).  He got to choose one item from the treasure chest.  Of course, he chose the orange sucker!  He sat on the couch and chomped away on the sucker while watching TV.  So proud of our little man!

Choosing his next move . . .
