Day One Hundred Sixty One

Happy 60th Birthday Jan!

Today is Jan’s 60th Birthday and she actually scheduled herself to work!  Crazy!  I think she is feeling guilty since she is taking off all next week to go to Las Vegas to celebrate her birthday.  We decorated her desk this morning with banners, streamers and post-it notes, brought in balloons, gifts and flowers.  Needless to say, she was overwhelmed!  You are so deserving of all of this and more Jan!  At about 9:30 a.m., we broke out the mimosa’s to celebrate…just us girls.  Unfortunately, it was Stephanie’s scheduled day off so she wasn’t able to join us.

Dave came home this afternoon and after Walker woke up from his nap, we went grocery shopping.  Walker is getting to the “wandering” stage in his toddlerhood, so I am having to keep on him a little more than usual when we are in a store.  He sees something on a shelf then goes into his own world talking, playing,  and forgetting who he came with.  He ignores us when we call to him, acting like he doesn’t hear us.  Well, he definately didn’t like to hear me when I talked to him sternly about listening to us and not wandering off.  He pouted for about 3 minutes before something else caught his attention.  Good grief!

After dinner, we all got into the hot tub, then headed to bed early.  All of us were exhausted from the week.  We plan on going for a bike ride or a hike tomorrow, depending on the weather.  We are hoping for some sun!

I also want to welcome to the world Robert and Rita Bullard’s new grandbaby boy who arrived today weighing 8 lbs., 2 oz.  Congratulations Bethany!  We hope to see you two soon!
