Day Two Hundred Twenty Four

Pam, Jacky, Walker and I headed out to do some shopping this morning.  We were pleasantly surprised to see Sam’s Club nearly empty, particularly after our late nightmare last night.   At about 9:45 p.m. last night, Pam, Linda, Jacky, Bryana and I decided to go to Wal-Mart to hit their 10:00 p.m. deals.  It was a completely chaotic, crazy and we ended up putting back the things we picked up and walked out.  As Linda and I were standing in the huge line, we looked down at the items in our hands.  They totaled less than $30.00.  It was then that we decided it was not worth the wait, the frustration or the deal!  When we first arrived at Wal-Mart, there were police cars racing through the parking lot.  Apparently, someone got into an altercation, probably over a pre-Black Friday Deal, and was beaten up.  There is no deal out there worth that!

So today, we had a leisure stroll through Sam’s Club purchasing a few items for Christmas.  Afterwards, we went to In-n-Out Burger for lunch.  It was really nice being able to spend that time with Jacky.  We went to Walgreens and Target and found both stores less than hectic.  I guess all the early birds were already gone, leaving us with a nice, peaceful shopping experience.

In the evening, Dave and I went to his cousin Jimmy’s house in Gilbert.  We had a really nice visit with Jimmy, Linda and James.  Dave and Jimmy were able to get caught up on the last 20 years while the rest of us kept Walker entertained.  Thank you Linda for the blocks for Walker!
