Day Two Hundred Fifty Six

Grandma Sherry, Walker and I opted to go out to the Ronald Reagan Library for the day.  It was a beautiful day today and supposed to be warming up into the high 60’s without a cloud in the sky.  Papa Walt and Grandma Pam headed back to Arizona this morning.  They’ll have a long drive ahead of them.  Everyone pitched in with helping take down the Christmas decorations so we won’t have to deal with it when we get back from up North.  Thanks Grandparents!

We arrived at the Ronald Reagan Library around 10:30 a.m. this morning and it was fairly crowded.  Who knew this place was so popular?!  Walker stayed in his stroller for most of the tour, but got out once we got to Air Force One.   It was fascinating to read about the history of Reagan’s life and Presidency, though it was difficult to read and see everything due to the crowds.  By the time we left, the parking lot was completely full and cars were parked all the way down Presidential Drive leading up to the Library.  We had gotten there just in time.

On the way home, Grandma Sherry had a craving for Animal Fries so we stopped at the In & Out in Oxnard.  Walker woke up just in time for a grilled cheese sandwich and fries.  Once home, we’ll be taking down the rest of the Christmas decorations, putting them back in the rafters, then it will be my turn to pack my bags for our trip.  Looking forward to getting away for a few days, though I know Charlie will miss playing with Lyla Blu.  Grandma Sherry and Lyla Blu will be hanging out at the house while we are gone.  I’m sure Bob and Sally will invite her and Lyla Blu over for playtime with Duke.  I am so blessed to have great neighbors!
