Day Two Hundred Eighty Seven

It was a beautiful warm and windy day in Ventura today.  After working a half day, I left Walker with Lori and Dave, Bob and I went golfing at the CBC Base.  It was really, really windy but we didn’t care.  It was warm and sunny.  We walked the course to get in our exercise, which I had never done before.  I had always taken a cart since I seem to hit my golf balls everywhere.  Today was no exception.  I lost three balls on the course this afternoon even though I made some really great shots.   I did much better on the back nine than I did on the front nine (must have been the Bud Light I had after the first 9 holes!).

Kelly picked up Walker from Lori’s house on his way back from Fillmore so we didn’t have to rush our golf game.  After dinner, Kelly went to meet his Mom to pick up Savannah in Santa Paula.  While Kelly was out, Walker, Dave and I jumped into the hot tub to soothe our aching muscles from golf.  Kelly and Savannah also got into the hot tub when they arrived at the house.  Afterwards, Savannah and Walker made chocolate chip cookies for everyone.
