It was my first day back at work after being gone nearly two weeks. I kept busy enough to not think about why I had been gone so long. However, when the office sent me a giant basket of flowers, it was hard not to cry. Everyone was wonderful and took care of work that needed to be done in my absence. I am so lucky to work for such a wonderful place.
Olivia and I took our walk around the buildings three times around 10:00 a.m., then I headed out for a walk at lunch time. I did a 30 minute power walk listening to my IPOD. It felt great being in the sun and it made me feel even better to be out exercising in the fresh air. It made me realize how much I missed my lunchtime walks being outside and away from my desk. I definately will get out more often!
I brought the basket of flowers home with me for the family to enjoy. I put on my 100mm macro lens and took a few photographs before placing the basket on our dining room table. For dinner, Dave made grilled chicken with roasted potatoes and a tomato/onion/cucumber salad that I had two helpings of. I seem to be craving vegetables these days and I was glad they didn’t consist of very many calories!
