Happy Birthday to my good friends Dee and Janet!
I finished up all of my consignment items this morning and was able to get everything organized and put away before Charlie and Walker came in to destroy my piles of clothing. Dave saw a sign on his way home from dropping off the Jeep at Crown Dodge that advertised guns and amo. As it turned out, the huge Smith and Wesson truck was parked at a gun shop in the industrial section off Olivas and they were raffling off items. So, we all returned at 3:00 p.m. to see what they had and to see if we would win anything. No luck. But it did give us an opportunity to check out the smaller guns for me. I tend to like the semi-automatic 38 calibers as the grip is small and fits my hand. We’re not purchasing anything now, but it would be fun target shooting a new rifle up at the cabin!
In the evening, I went over to Elizabeth’s house for our Diamante Investment Group meeting. We hadn’t met in over a year so it was good to see everyone. The good news is that we are making our payments timely on the property in Georgia and we will have a surplus now that the mortgage payment has gone down. The bad news is that with the real estate market being what it is, the property is upside down. No chance of selling it off anytime soon. We are hoping the market bounces back in the Atlanta area in the next 5-7 years so we can recoup some of the money each of us put into the property.
On the way to Lowe’s this afternoon, I happened to have my camera with me when I spotted this cool hot rod sitting at the light on Victoria. I grabbed my camera and had one chance to shoot before the light change. A lucky capture!
