Day Three Hundred Twenty Five

The morning didn’t start off real good today.  As I was pulling out of the driveway, I couldn’t get the garage door to shut.  I checked the sensors, played with the button, but nothing would work.  I ended up using the garage door release and just manually shutting the door.  It made me late for work so I figured I would just mess with it this afternoon.

I went over to Target at lunch today to pick up a couple of hair care products and some small items to put into Walker’s Easter basket.  I had found a couple of books and a blanket at the consignment sale this past weekend that will fill most of his basket, so I needed other fillers.  I couldn’t find the grass or plastic eggs but it didn’t dawn on me until after I left Target that I wasn’t even in the Easter section.  I just went to the dollar bins.  Fortunately I’ve got time to put everything together.

Walker had a rough day at daycare today.  I had dropped off some toys at Lori’s house on Friday that I had picked up at the consignment sale for her.  For some reason, Walker thought they were his.  No matter how many times I told him they weren’t, they were Lori’s for everyone to share, he couldn’t get it through his head.  So when he got to daycare today, he tried to take charge of the new toys.  Of course, that doesn’t fly with Lori.  If you don’t share, you don’t get to play.  Needless to say, Walker spent a lot of time today inside the house just sitting rather than enjoying the outdoors playing.  He is now understanding choices.

In the evening, Sally joined us for dinner.  I made homemade chicken parmesan and garlic rolls.  Although the bottom of the rolls burnt, dinner was still yummy.  After dinner, Walker and I played “knuckles” in the front room.  We were rolling around playing when UPS returned with my new Canon lens.  Well, not exactly brand new, but new to me.  I finally broke down and purchased the Canon 70-200 L 2.8 IS USM lens.  I now have a zoom lens!  I’m so excited!  It appeared to be in really good condition so I can’t wait to use it tomorrow!

I captured this photograph below in front of Bob and Sally’s house.  It is a butterfly wind chime that had blown down from its hanger due to all the high winds we’ve been having.  I loved the colors in it and thought it would make a good photo for today.
