Day Three Hundred Sixty Four

Walker stayed home with Grandma Sherry this morning while I headed off to work.  The rain came pouring down after I arrived at work and we actually had thunder and lightning.  It was a neat storm which cleared up later in the afternoon.  I went to the chiropractor after work, then headed home to pick up the gang for lunch.

Grandma Sherry, Walker, Kelly and I went to Toppers for lunch, then Kelly headed off to work.  Grandma Sherry, Walker and I went to Target to run some errands.  On the way to Target, Walker told me he had to go potty really bad.  I asked him several times if he really had to go bad and he kept saying “Yes!”.  We were driving up Victoria when this occurred and of course, there was no bathroom in sight.  I turned onto Olivas Park Drive, then pulled over by the side of the road, in the rain and mud.  I got out, came around to Walker’s side of the car, grabbed him out of his car seat, pulled down his pants and stood him up so he could go potty.  It was about that time he told me he didn’t really have to go.  Are you kidding me?!  I was slipping and sliding in mud and he was telling me he didn’t really have to go potty.  Boy was I mad!  By the time I got him back in the car, both his shoes and my Ugg boots were covered in mud which ended up all over the back seat and floor of the car.  Ugh! Fortunately, Walker fell asleep on the way to Target.  We made another stop at Toys R Us before heading home.

Bob and Sally are in Laughlin this weekend so we agreed to feed the dogs.  When we got home from our errands, Grandma Sherry, Walker and I went next door to feed the dogs.  Both Duke and Darby were excited to see us.  Okay, so maybe it was only because we had food for them!  While we were there, I took some photographs of Sally’s roses in their backyard.  They were in full bloom and looked beautiful.  Afterwards, we headed home for dinner and relaxing.  The rain started up again just after 5:30 p.m. so it looks like we will be in for the night.
