28 DAYS OF FEBRUARY 2013 – DAY THREE

Well so much for sleeping in this morning.  Walker woke up just before 7:00 a.m. looking for his Daddy who had tip-toed out of  bed just about an hour or two before we woke up.  Dave planned to go surfing this morning so Walker and I had breakfast together, then headed out to the grocery store.  Today was Bob and Sally’s Superbowl Party and I hadn’t been able to shop for the items I would need for my artichoke crab dip.  Fortunately, the grocery store wasn’t too busy at 9:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning.

After dropping off the groceries at the house, Walker and I headed out to Ross in search of a table runner and some decorative items for our new buffet.  We were also on the look-out for a football shirt for Walker.  No luck with any of what we were looking for.  We ended up with a race car t-shirt for Walker, a football shaped bowl and some kitchen towels – nothing that was on the list!  We then tried TJ-Max and Cost Plus World Market with no luck at either place.  So we gave up and headed home.

Walker went outside with his finger paints while I prepared my artichoke crab dip and tried to catch up on my blog.  We headed to Bob and Sally’s around 2:30 p.m. to watch our San Francisco 49ers get beaten by the Baltimore Ravens.  The 49ers didn’t start off too well, but it became a really good game after halftime, particularly when the power went out in the stadium.  Not sure if that’s ever happened at a Super Bowl before, but it certainly was humorous.  The 49ers came within 3 points before losing to the Ravens.  It was a good game at the end.  Winning money in the football pool would have soothed the pain of the 49ers losing, but that didn’t happen either.  I guess I’d better stay away from the casinos for a while!
